Tab Trade — What It Is
Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection matters. It says the founder has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. But preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres institutional desks use. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: forex, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform this new, the breadth is solid.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from a single account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you know a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.
FIX API is available for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is apparently in the works. That would round things out when it arrives.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not something most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
Infrastructure
This is where this broker stands apart. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. The point is they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.
Put together those fill times with the Edge account pricing and what you get holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket offer execution like this.
Regulation
Here is the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement costs real money. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.
The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that is worth it is your call.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You fund your account, TabTrade add bonus funds. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Review the fine print before you deposit.
