TabTrade Overview - What to Know Before You Sign Up

The Broker — What It Is

TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail matters. It says the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.

They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities institutional desks use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade did the opposite. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: forex, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For a platform that launched in March 2026, that coverage is broad.

The Software

You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Having both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader previously, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the alternative. Better DOM. Faster charting. Native automated trading. A lot of traders find it more natural after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is reportedly coming. That will round things out once it is live.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. $0 to start. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade has no minimum.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not something most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you move real size.

How Fast Are the Fills

The execution is where this broker stands apart. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. The average platform run 100ms to 300ms.

Should you care? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That signals what kind of broker this is.

Put together those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get holds up. Not many platforms in this bracket offer execution like this.

The FSRA Question

This is the thing you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

But. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this guarantee anything. It does be part of your assessment.

What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that is worth it depends on you.

The Bonus

TabTrade offers a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard deposit match. You put money in, the broker add bonus funds. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before funding.
